The South Tyrol Wine Trail: hiking, biking, golfing

Every adventure begins in the countryside and ends in the heart

What do we appreciate most about our homeland? The Mediterranean climate and the vast range of flora and fauna. Why? Because when we’re out and about on the isolated panoramic hiking trails in the mountains, marvelling at the vibrant colours of nature in the Valle della Primavera or cycling through the sun-drenched vineyards, we can feel how much good it does us. Alternatively, the region also boasts fabulous racing bike tours and picturesque golf courses. Where to next?

Hiking
Hiking

Ancient wine-growing villages and endless vineyards interwoven with countless walking trails – that’s the south of South Tyrol, and the homeland of the Rungghof. No panoramic view is like any other, and nowhere else can you discover so much about the local winegrowing culture than here in the most important winegrowing region of South Tyrol.

Biking
Biking

If you like things a little faster, then hop on the saddle of a mountain bike and pedal your way around the hilly lands of the Oltradige. Our favourite easy tours are the Castle Firmiano route leading through the Monticolo woods, and the Caldaro high mountain trail with a sweeping view over the valley and across to the Dolomites.

Golfing
Golfing

Golf & Country is the name of the golfing paradise where you can swing your irons on vast fairways. The “Blue Monster” in Appiano is just one of these and, with its little blue lakes, is nothing short of spectacular. The “Mountain Beast” by Lake Carezza, on the other hand, is located at 1,680 m asl and boasts magnificent views of the Catinaccio mountain.
